South Carolina vs. UGA ~ Saturday, September 10, 2011

Peter Salas, Alex Nunez, and I were able to proclaim the name of Jesus to many thousands going into Sanford Stadium for the first Georgia game in Athens, GA this year. We were able to pass out tracts, one to one, and open air at the stadium for a couple of hours before the game, and then downtown after the game. Many encouraged us at the game, and there were many naysayers there as well. A wonderful couple from Nashville came up to me outside the stadium to encourage me; their daughter is a freshman at UGA. Holding the “Are You Ready?” cross in the midst of thousands is a wonderful witness, because it forces many people who you don’t get a chance to engage personally to consider their position before our Lord.

I like to share some of the comments from each outreach so that you, the reader, can have an idea of what people’s response to the gospel is.
1) “Jesus loves the Gamecocks/Bulldogs.”

2) “I’m ready to kick some Bulldog/Gamecock a$*!”

3) “Thank you for being here brother.”

4) “Philippians 13:27!”

5) “Big Bang you stupid motherf*$%#r!” To which I responded, “Where did the big bang come from?” The man responded, “The f*&^#$g stars you idiot!”

6) “Keep up the good work brothers.”

Please pray for Mia, a young roman catholic woman who came up and made the sign of the cross in front of me while I was preaching. I asked Mia if she was born again and she said no and responded exactly like Nicodemus did. I told her Jesus said, “You must be born again.” She began yelling that the roman catholic church was the church Jesus started. She started kissing the two other girls she was with and saying she was going to go have sex with them and then she would, “Go burn in hell like a good roman catholic.” We pleased with Mia to repent.

Thank you also to Martin and Katy Burrow for joining us.

Please pray that God would continue to work in Athens, GA. We praise you Lord Jesus.
